Segovia Private Day Trip

Segovia, the Spanish city in Castile and Leon, is a charming historical location filled with magical landmarks. Predominantly split into three main parts: the Roman midtown aqueduct, the Gothic style cathedral, and the medieval castle - the latter being the template for Walt Disney’s iconic Cinderella castle! On this tour, you’ll get the chance to visit the historical center of the city and discover the deeply rooted cultural heritage of the town. Later on, you’ll have the chance to enter the Segovia Cathedral, a 500 year old Holy temple devoted to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and San Frutos. Finally, a visit to the famous ancient Roman aqueduct, a world renowned UNESCO heritage site that dates back to the year 50 BC. Your trip, however, will not be complete without the addition of a tasty traditional Segovian dish: Cochinillo Asado - a roasted pig that is native to Castilian cuisine since the invasion of the Roman Empire.

Points of Interest:
Roman Aqueduct: A 1.25 miles (2 km) long structure that dates back to 50 BC. It is the largest and best preserved aqueduct of the Ancient Roman Empire, and stands at a whopping 28 meters high.

Segovia Cathedral: An epic cathedral that was once destroyed during the Communions War in 1520. It was later rebuilt and is now regarded as one of the most important cathedrals in Spain. It is famously the burial place of Saint Fructus and his siblings Saint Valentine and Saint Engratia.
